Why Learn Outdoors?

Wavy Woods was created to give children the time, space and freedom to move, explore and reconnect with nature.

Today, many children spend most of their day indoors, despite their instinct to climb, dig and play. In Northern Ireland, 45% of 16-year-olds have probable mental ill-health.

We believe this matters. Gentle, regular time outdoors can make a real difference.

Wavy Woods Forest & Beach School offers a practical & positive response for N.I.

“… kids had a  brilliant time doing flower crafts, building a campfire, climbing the tight rope and toasting marshmallows…

The forest setting had a very calming effect…”
